Trust is vital

In the depths of trust's betrayal, where hearts once aligned,

Two souls once cherished, now severed and confined.
Their actions like daggers, piercing my soul,
Leaving wounds of deceit, taking their toll.
Their promises broken, their words turned to lies,
Their actions a mockery, a cruel disguise.
They've tainted my spirit, my trust they've belied,
In their wake of betrayal, my heart has dried.
Oh, the pain of their actions, a burden to bear,
A lesson etched deeply, a wound beyond repair.
Their treachery lingers, a haunting refrain,
A reminder of trust lost, never to regain.
But from the depths of darkness, a strength will arise,
A resilience within, a spirit that defies.
I'll mend my broken heart, with courage and care,
And never again surrender, to those who won't share.
No longer will I be swayed, by their empty pleas,
Their words will fall hollow, like leaves on the breeze.
I'll guard my heart closely, with wisdom as guide,
And never again will I let them inside.
For true friendship and love, are treasures so rare,
And those who betray them, are unworthy of care.
I'll seek out kindred spirits, with hearts that are true,
And build my life anew, with love that will accrue.
So farewell, dear betrayers, your actions in vain,
My heart will heal stronger, from the pain you've ordained.
I'll rise from the ashes, with spirit ablaze,
And never again will I fall, for your deceitful ways.

Feeling left out

In the circle of chatter, where voices interlace,

My words fall silent, lost in the space.
At the table of laughter, where stories unfold,
I sit unnoticed, my thoughts left untold.
Like a ghost in the gathering, unseen and unheard,
My presence a whisper, a barely stirred word.
As jokes and anecdotes dance in the air,
My contributions vanish, dissolved in despair.
In this symphony of conversation, my voice has no place,
A melody unsung, lost in the race.
My thoughts, like petals, wither and fade,
Unnoticed and unpicked, in this social parade.
Oh, the sting of silence, the weight of neglect,
A heart full of yearning, a soul left bereft.
To be heard and acknowledged, a desire so deep,
Yet my words fall on deaf ears, as I silently weep.
But within this isolation, a strength will ignite,
A resilience of spirit, a beacon of light.
I'll rise from the shadows, my voice will resound,
No longer ignored, my presence profound.
For my worth is inherent, my voice has its place,
In the tapestry of stories, I'll leave my own trace.
With newfound confidence, my voice will take flight,
And the table will listen, bathed in its light.
So let them chatter and gossip, their voices a blur,
For my voice will emerge, clear and pure.
I'll speak of my passions, my dreams, and my fears,
And the table will listen, with hearts open and ears.
No longer invisible, no longer unheard,
My voice will be cherished, my words will be spurred.
I'll reclaim my place, in this circle so wide,
And the table will hear me, with love as my guide.

To All Carers

To those who care for us, we owe a debt of gratitude that can never be fully repaid. They are the ones who stand by us through thick and thin, offering their love and support no matter what. They are the ones who make our lives brighter and our burdens lighter.

Today, I want to speak about the importance of caring for those who care for us. It is easy to take their love and support for granted, but we must remember that they are not invincible. They too need our love and care.
Here are a few things we can do to show our appreciation for those who care for us:
Tell them how much you love and appreciate them. Sometimes, the simplest words can have the most profound impact.
Spend time with them. Make time for the people who matter most in your life.
Do something nice for them. Even a small gesture can show them how much you care.
Be there for them when they need you. Let them know that you are always there for them, no matter what.
When we care for those who care for us, we create a cycle of love and support that benefits everyone. We strengthen our relationships, we lift each other up, and we make the world a better place.
So let us all take a moment to reflect on the people who care for us and show them how much we appreciate them. Let us make a commitment to care for them as they have cared for us.
Thank you.

Shaping our lives

Our perceptions shape our reality, and our actions shape our perceptions.

This sentence highlights the profound impact our thoughts and actions have on our experiences of the world around us. It suggests that we are not merely passive observers of our lives but active participants in creating our own realities. By cultivating positive and expansive perceptions, we can open ourselves up to new possibilities and experiences, while our actions, rooted in these perceptions, can further shape the world we live in. This sentence invites us to take ownership of our lives, to consciously choose our thoughts and actions, and to recognize the power we hold to shape our own destinies.

Feelings

Feelings are the language of the soul, revealing the depths of our being.

This sentence emphasizes the profound connection between our emotions and our inner selves. It suggests that feelings are not merely fleeting sensations but messengers from our deepest core, revealing the intricate workings of our souls. By attuning ourselves to our feelings, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves, our motivations, and our place in the world. This sentence invites us to embrace our emotions, not as obstacles to overcome, but as guides to navigate the complexities of life.

Ode to a Prison Officer

In the heart of shadows, where secrets reside,
A prison officer stands, with stories to hide.
Behind his stoic façade, a soul yearns to impart,
The confessions of a life lived behind bars.
He's witnessed the depths of human despair,
The broken spirits, the burdens they bear.
He's seen the flicker of hope, amidst the gloom,
The resilience of the human spirit, defying the tomb.
He's heard the whispers of regret, the cries of remorse,
The tales of lives gone astray, veering off course.
He's seen the tears of repentance, the longing for grace,
The yearning for redemption, in this desolate space.
But he's also witnessed the darkness within,
The depths of cruelty, where empathy grows thin.
He's seen the savagery of the human heart,
The scars inflicted, tearing lives apart.
He's carried the weight of their stories, their burdens, their pain,
A silent observer, witnessing life's refrain.
He's guarded their secrets, their sins, their mistakes,
A keeper of confessions, for whom no judgment he makes.
Yet, amidst the darkness, a glimmer of light,
A spark of humanity, burning ever so bright.
He's seen the power of compassion, a touch that can mend,
A beacon of hope in this prison's somber end.
He's learned the value of forgiveness, the grace to bestow,
The chance for redemption, for a soul to grow.
He's seen the transformative power of love's embrace,
A lifeline to redemption, in this desolate space.
So he stands, the prison officer, a witness to life,
With stories untold, both darkness and light.
His confessions, a testament to the human maze,
Where hope and despair intertwine in life's intricate haze.

Lost school mate

This is about one school mate who was the king of the class, sadly no longer with, I have changed his name:

There once was a boy named Ronald,
Whose laughter was cheerful and bold.
With a twinkle in his eye,
And a smile that could fly,
He brought joy to all who were told.
Ronald loved to play in the sun,
His laughter echoing like a drum.
He'd chase butterflies through the air,
With a carefree spirit that was rare.
His imagination was a boundless realm,
Where dreams and reality did helm.
One day, Ronald was playing in the park,
When he stumbled upon a hidden spark.
A magical portal, shimmering and bright,
Leading to a world of pure delight.
Without hesitation, Ronald stepped through,
Into a world of wonders, old and new.
He met talking animals, fairies so fair,
And castles that reached high in the air.
He rode on dragons, soared through the sky,
With a sense of wonder that would never die.
In this magical realm, Ronald learned and grew,
His spirit expanding, his heart ever true.
He discovered the power of love and kindness,
And the joy of friendship that never binds.
But as time passed, Ronald began to yearn,
For the world he once knew, the place where he'd return.
He bid farewell to his newfound friends,
With promises to cherish until the very end.
Stepping back through the magical portal,
Ronald found himself back in the park, as mortal.
But the memories of his magical quest,
Would forever remain in his heart, forever blessed.
Ronald grew up, wise and kind,
His laughter still echoing in the wind.
He shared his stories with all he knew,
Inspiring others to believe in the true.
And so, the legend of Ronald grew,
The boy who found magic, and his spirit still anew.

Autumn

In shades of green, the trees stand tall and proud,

Their branches reaching high, a verdant crown,
While clouds of white drift gently through the sky,
Casting their shadows on the earth below.
The sunbeams dance upon the verdant leaves,
Their golden rays a symphony of light,
As gentle breezes whisper through the trees,
Carrying melodies that fill the air with delight.
Along the paths, where sunlight paints the way,
I walk with joyful heart, my spirit free,
And as I stroll, I hear the Beatles' play,
Their music lifting my soul with ecstasy.
Oh, what a wonderful world, I softly sing,
A world of beauty, where joy takes wing.

OLD KEYS DO NOT OPEN NEW DOORS

When you want different things, you have to start moving different. Old keys do not open new doors.

This quote speaks to the power of change and the importance of taking action to achieve our goals. If we want to experience something new or different in our lives, we can't just sit back and wait for it to happen. We need to take steps to change our habits, our patterns of behavior, and our way of thinking.

The "old keys" in this quote represent the things that have been holding us back from achieving our goals. They could be negative thoughts, limiting beliefs, or outdated habits. Whatever they are, we need to identify them and let them go if we want to open ourselves up to new possibilities.

The "new doors" in this quote represent the opportunities that await us when we are willing to change. They could be new relationships, new job opportunities, or new experiences that we never thought possible. Whatever they are, they are waiting for us to reach out and grab them.

So, if you want different things in your life, start moving different. Let go of the old keys that are holding you back and reach for the new doors that are waiting to be opened. The only thing standing between you and your dreams is your willingness to take action.

The gifts they left behind

In the realm of forgotten things, Where memories gently fade, Lie the gifts they left behind, A treasure unafraid.

In the depths of hearts they touched, In the smiles they brought to life, In the echoes of their laughter, In the beauty they instilled.

A gift of love, a gentle touch, A kindness that would never cease, A friendship that would never fade, A bond that would bring them peace.

In the world they left behind, Their gifts would forever stay, A testament to lives well-lived, A legacy that would never sway.

For in the hearts of those they touched, Their memory would forever bloom, A reminder of the gifts they left, A treasure in the darkest room.

Not up to it

Another day at the grind, peaceful one.  Went for walk earlier was a lovely day.
I am trying to get myself sorted, have not been 100 per cent for a while now, since retiring after working for 40 years takes some getting used too, your whole system needs to adjust.  Looking for a hobby, perhaps earn a little whilst doing it, but where do you start.

I had thought of selling digital downloads, bet thats easy I said to myself, perhaps it is but have not sold very many so gave it up.  So the daily grind is sitting most of the day thinking and watching far too much TV.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

The daily grind having a rant

Well its been a while since I posted, time flies when your having fun or so they say.
Various things have happened, got my car back from the repairers, been given time to create a new Will, got in touch over social media with my daughter Amy who has had problems, and become the proud owner of a cheque for £1.82, well there you go.

The huge cheque was from an account I had many years ago, it was a Investment ISA which I had cancelled but had left about 20p in it and it grew into £1.82, its close for good now.

Has been snowing here in Medway today and as usual in this great country of ours everything grinds to a halt, was only about 20mm but a snowflake would have been enough, its all melted now so panic over until the next time.

Just watched the DNA journey of John Bishop and Hugh Bonneville, great to see that hugh's three times Grandfather worked and designed ships at Chatham Dockyard which is where I live, my claim to fame at last.

Its raining now so now chance of snow today at least.

Monday 13th I have to put the car back into the main dealers as the drivers window runner is sticking not a big job I hope, but its such a joy to drive, 18 plate so fairly newish, only done 32k, go on make me an offer, would have to be good one mind you.

Once upon a time I was so proud of this country but in recent years it has really let me down in so many ways,  the population is growing so fast but letting in too many from abroad, our great NHS is broken, the whole system is on its knees, yes we have had a horrible time what with Covid and the cost of living, but its more than that, nobody cares anymore, nobody respects anyone anymore, what has happened to this Great Britain of ours, we have been under attack for many years, religious fanatics have ruid our way of life, our children are growing up in a world where people do not know who or what they, its getting so ridiculous now, I just wish it would stop.

Spring time

The sun awakes in a sleepy stretch,  Yawning warmth on a winter's wretch.  Birdsong flutters on the breeze,  Waking trees from slumber...
